Charity Making a Difference: Make Life Kind Partners with Hotel Football to Empower Youth in Manchester This Summer
Manchester, August - This summer, the skyline isn’t the only thing looking brighter. Make Life Kind, the youth charity foundation founded by one of Milk Education's Directors Emma Walsh, dedicated to inspiring confidence, creativity, and kindness in young people, has teamed up with Hotel Football for a series of rooftop events and workshops designed to change perspectives - literally and figuratively.
With panoramic views over Manchester, the Hotel Football rooftop has provided more than just a backdrop. It’s been a launchpad for Make Life Kind’s six-week programmes, one-to-one mentoring, and creative workshops, giving young people a space to connect, dream big, and see their future from a new angle.
“When you’re up here, you see the world differently, this is my city, my team and I am so proud to be overlooking the ManUnited grounds, giving young people in the city an opportunity to be inspired” said Loti Nambombe, Head of Make Life Kind. “The rooftop gives our young people a sense of possibility. They leave knowing they can stand tall, be heard, and make their own mark.” - Assistant head Teacher, Kemoy Walker.
Throughout the summer, groups have gathered on the iconic rooftop to take part in creative storytelling, skill-building sessions, and community discussions - all under the open sky. The collaboration with Hotel Football reflects both organisations’ commitment to creating safe, inspiring spaces that bring people together. They are proudly celebrating 10 years open this year!
“We’re proud to host Make Life Kind and the incredible work they’re doing.” said Jessica, Hotel Football. “The rooftop is about celebrating Manchester’s spirit, and these young people are a huge part of that.” - Tilita Whittick-Knight, Charity Leader.
The partnership is just one of the ways Make Life Kind is bringing “Real Talk, Real Change” to life in our communities, connecting directly with youth in clubs, teams, and local spaces across the city.
